suspenders = braces (straps which hold up your trousers)
dress = frock
sweater = jumper
backpack = rucksack
sneakers = trainers
pants = trousers
shorts = underpants, pants (underwear for guys)
panties = knickers (underwear for girls)
coat = jacket ( a formal jacket for indoor wear)
overcoat = coat (a garment to keep you warm outside)
undershirt = vest (underwear for guys)
vest = waistcoat (part of a three piece, formal suit)
