Do you remember Susan Boyle, the Scottish woman who became world famous after her performance on the talent show Britain's Got Talent? This year, the same talent show introduced to the public this singer Edward Reid, who caused a sensation in the UK after his performance on the show.

Here is the performance. As you can see, the audience loved it. But why?

The reason is because, not only is he imitating Whitney Houston, but he is singing 'nursery rhymes'. Nursery rhymes are children's songs, the kind of songs very little children learn from their grandmothers, the kind of songs little kids learn in kindergarten. These kind of songs are very old, and are passed from generation to generation Everyone in the UK knows these songs, we have known them from our very earliest childhood.
