My Life

I have a guest staying with me at the moment. He turned up one morning inside my apartment and stayed in the apartment for about a week. Then he disappeared for a few days, and now he has returned. He is living on my back balcony. Every morning when I wake up he is there to greet me, and then he runs away. He is very shy and timid, but every day he lets me get a bit nearer to him.

He is so cute! I love his little feet!

Now, does anybody know anything about these kind of animals? Is it a gecko, or a lizard? It's very big for a gecko, I think, but he can climb the walls and everything. I have not heard him making any sounds yet. What shall I feed him? Does anybody know? I would like him to stay longer and try to tame him.

  1. He is not a gecko because there were many geckos on the wall when I was in Pinton. But I could be wrong. Maybe you should take him to the restaurant and ask him order what he likes....

  3. It's a kind of dragon lizard called Swinhoe's japalura. The Chinese name is 攀木蜥蜴. It means it is good for climbing trees. You can feed him with small worms.

  4. Awesome James, thank you! I knew it was too big to be a gecko. He is still here, looking at me.

    I'll try worms. Cheaper than Hank's idea...lol

  7. Riva, I think you are right. He has gone now, I haven't seen him for about a week. I hope he will come back. We were getting quite friendly.
