英澳口音特訓班 Homework 1

Queen Elizabeth has been queen since 1952. Every year on Christmas Day the monarch addresses her subjects. Before TV was invented this was done by radio. The Queen's speech takes place in the afternoon at 3.00 and many people all over the UK listen to it as part of their traditional Christmas celebrations.


Listen to the first two minutes of the video. Can you hear this vocabulary?

Vocabulary:

  • saddened = made sad because of something
