Yesterday was very wet so we stayed in and read and watched DVDs all day. The day before, though, we went to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. They had two fantastic exhibitions: one of work by Ai Wei Wei, and one by the Taiwanese photographer Huang Tse Hsiu. My mother has seen Ai Wei Wei's work before, in London. Both exhibitions were outstanding. If you haven't seen them already, you should go. We then had a lovely lunch in the cafe in the new extension of the museum, the Taiwan Excellence pavilion. My mother is very impressed with all the culture available in Taiwan.
