口說測驗基礎 I Homework 3

In this class we talked about some of our past experiences and focussed on the past simple verb tense. Listen to this man talking about a strange thing that happened to him. Listen carefully to all the verbs he uses. Can you hear the past simple tense?

Vocabulary:
  • clearing =  a space in a forest where there are no trees
  • post-it note = the blue piece of paper he is holding in his hand
  • show = performance
  • blew my mind = really surprised me
  • what are the odds of that happening? = what are the chances of something strange happening?

    what's the strange part of that story with a random note?

    Hebe, I think the point was that he knew the people mentioned in the note, but he found the note completely by chance under a rock in the forest. I don't know, but I don't believe this guy. LOL
